Fisker Ocean Wins Awards In France: Winning Top Awards at the Automobile Awards 2023!
Fisker Inc. has achieved a significant milestone with its Fisker Ocean model. Recently, at the esteemed Automobile Awards 2023 in Paris, the Fisker Ocean was honored with two prestigious titles: Best Full Electric Vehicle and SUV of the Year. This French mobility awards competition, established in 2018, has swiftly gained prominence in France. It celebrates excellence in automobile design, engineering, and technology among over 50 international brands. The Fisker Ocean, an all-electric vehicle, impressed the jury—a panel of 20 experts in automotive and design fields—with its innovation, utility, practicality, aesthetics, technology, and overall value.
The Fisker Ocean made history at the Automobile Awards by becoming the first vehicle to win in two distinct categories. It clinched the Full Electric Vehicle of the Year (ABB E-mobility Award) for its exceptional design, engineering, and value as an electric vehicle. Competing across various EV models like compacts, sedans, coupes, and SUVs, the Ocean stood out. Additionally, it won the SUV of the Year (EV Park Award), outshining 20 competitors in electric, hybrid, diesel, and gas SUVs. This award recognized the Ocean for its innovative design, practicality, and technology in the Sport Utility Vehicle category. Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc., expressed pride in these recognitions, emphasizing the company's commitment to delivering value, competing across different vehicle types, and being acknowledged for sustainability, innovation, design, and affordability.
The Fisker Ocean, assembled in a carbon-neutral facility in Graz, Austria, is a testament to sustainable automotive technology. It incorporates over 50 kg of recycled polymers, bio-based content, and other recycled materials. The design balances SUV aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency, contributing to its impressive WLTP range of 707 km, making it the longest-range battery electric SUV sold in Europe. Its SolarSky roof with integrated solar panels further enhances its eco-friendly credentials. The design of the Fisker Ocean merges a futuristic exterior with a modern, technology-rich interior. Features like the California Mode, which opens the SolarSky roof and all windows, add to its unique appeal. The Fisker team proudly accepted the Automobile Awards 2023 for Best Full Electric Vehicle and SUV of the Year at a gala event in Paris.
