2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Sees a Price Rise of Up to $1,600
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUT, the pickup variant, witnesses yet another price hike for several trims. This follows a $6,250 raise from the previous year for EV2, EV2X, and EV3X models due to parts' rising costs. The destination charge also rose from $1,995 to $2,295.
Here's a snapshot of the new MSRPs and their increments:
Trim | Previous Price | Current Price |
---|---|---|
EV2X | $89,995 | $98,845 |
EV3X | $99,995 | $106,945 |
EV3X Omega Edition | $149,995 | $150,295 |
Interestingly, the 2024 Hummer EV3X now surpasses the price of the 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1 which began at $112,595. The latter included a 24-module extended-range Ultium battery pack. This is now a $9,995 add-on for the EV3X. The EV3X Omega Edition stands out with its Neptune Blue paint and a robust feature set.
However, there's a silver lining. GMC is offering early reservation discounts:
- EV2X reservations get an $8,150 instant discount, reducing its price to $90,695
- EV3X reservations receive a $6,250 discount, bringing it to $100,695
These discounts compensate for recent and past price increases. However, given the overwhelming reservations and delays, it may be some time before one can get their hands on a Hummer EV.
Despite the price hikes across all variants, this electric vehicle continues to rank among the Best All-Electric Pickup Trucks of 2023. Its appeal remains strong, irrespective of a minor price bump.
