2024 HUMMER EV 3X Pickup: Extended 381-Mile Range and Off-Road Capability
GMC is making waves with the newly announced range enhancements for the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup. Equipped with the available 24-module battery pack, the 3X trim offers an impressive GM-estimated 381 miles of range on a full charge, a significant 26-mile increase from the previous model year. Additionally, models fitted with the Extreme Off-Road Package now boast a GM-estimated 359 miles of range, representing a remarkable 30-mile improvement.
Al Oppenheiser, Chief Engineer of GMC HUMMER EV, expressed excitement about the extended range, stating, "For extended road trips, overlanding in remote areas or daily driving, the HUMMER EV 3X Pickup will take you where you need to go, now with more driving range and confidence."
The standard features of the Hummer 3X Pickup trim include 22-inch wheels, 35-inch All-Terrain tires, 4-Wheel Steer with CrabWalk diagonal drive capability, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, Extract Mode, Watts to Freedom launch experience, and the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance feature.
For those seeking enhanced off-road performance, the Extreme Off-Road Package on the 3X trim offers additional features such as 18-inch wheels, 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires, four extra underbody camera views for a total of 18, front e-locker, rear virtual locking differentials, heavy-duty ball-spline half-shafts, and comprehensive underbody armor with skid plates and rocker protection.
The HUMMER EV 3X Pickup, priced at $106,945 (excluding destination charge), will be available for sale this fall to current reservation holders. Production of the 3X Pickup, along with the HUMMER EV SUV, will commence later this year at GM's Factory ZERO Assembly Center in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, which serves as the manufacturing hub for GMC's all-electric lineup, including the GMC EV Pickup, HUMMER EV SUV, and the upcoming Sierra EV.
