Volkswagen Plug&Charge Program
Volkswagen of America has announced the integration of Volkswagen Plug&Charge Program in the 2023 ID.4 EV, available starting early 2024 at Electrify America stations. Owners of the ID.4 can conveniently use this feature by activating it in the Electrify America app, which complements their included three-year plan for 30-minute DC fast charging sessions. Assembled in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the 2023 ID.4 is available in three trim levels—Standard/Pro, S, and S Plus—and offers options for 62 kWh and 82 kWh batteries, as well as rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The VW ID.4, available and compatible with the Volkswagen Plug&Charge Program, comes with two battery sizes and two powertrain options. The Standard model, featuring a 62kWh battery with an EPA-estimated range of 209 miles, is priced at $38,995. The Pro model, equipped with an 82 kWh battery and offering a 275-mile range, starts at $43,995. The ID.4 AWD Pro models, with a starting price of $47,795, provide enhanced horsepower and all-wheel-drive capabilities. For fast charging, Standard and S models support a 140-kW rate, while Pro models can handle up to 170-kW, enabling a swift charge from 10-80% SOC in about 30 minutes.
The ID.4, enhanced with the Volkswagen Plug&Charge Program, showcases its unique exterior with illuminated Volkswagen badges and a choice of eight distinct colors. Each model variant allows for personalized customization through various roof and trim options. Inside, the vehicle boasts a 12-inch Discover Pro Max touchscreen for infotainment, paired with heated front seats and a dual-zone climate control system for added comfort. The higher-end models of the ID.4 offer additional features to further enrich the driving experience. The interior's ambiance is augmented by multi-colored ambient lighting and a range of premium upholstery finishes, creating a luxurious feel. Beyond aesthetic and comfort elements, the ID.4 is equipped with advanced driver assistance technologies, including Forward Collision Warning and Active Blind Spot Monitor, as well as the innovative IQ.DRIVE® system, ensuring safety and ease of driving, all complemented by the convenience of the Volkswagen Plug&Charge Program.
