VinFast VF 8: Revolutionary Electric Cars Now Available in the U.S.
VinFast has announced the arrival of its second shipment of electric vehicles in the US. The Port of Benicia, California has received 1,879 vehicles of the 2023 VinFast VF 8 model. The manufacturer intends to initiate deliveries of the VF 8 vehicles to customers in the United States, beginning in June 2023.
VinFast has launched a new batch of VF 8 vehicles in the US with longer battery ranges than the previous batch. The Eco model has a range of 264 miles, and the Plus model has a range of 243 miles per full charge. The prices for the VF 8 Eco and Plus models are $46,000 and $51,800, respectively, including the battery. Customers can lease or take a loan for these models. Qualified customers can lease the VF 8 for a minimum of 36 months or opt for a loan with a minimum term of 60 months. Additionally, VinFast Pioneer customers can enjoy extra incentives.
Starting May 2023, eligible customers who lease the VF 8 City Edition can upgrade to the VF 8 with the Eco or Plus trim after 12 months of the lease. The following lease period will run for 24 months, with the same lease payments as the first term. The VF 8 comes with a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty for the vehicle, a 10-year battery warranty (with no mileage limit), and Mobile Services. The vehicle also includes 24/7 emergency roadside assistance during the warranty period.
Madam Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Chairwoman of VinFast, is confident about the company's business strategy and commitment to global customers. She emphasized the 2023 VinFast VF 8 model with its extended range, which shows VinFast's dedication towards a green and sustainable future. The company has exported the first batch to the U.S. market and aims to accelerate the transition to electrified mobility with the trust and support of its customers.
VinFast has received approval from the EPA and CARB to import and sell vehicles in the US, as well as adhering to FMVSS. They plan to deliver 1,098 VF 8 vehicles to the US market, with 781 to be delivered to Canada by mid-May 2023.
