Orlando Magic Kia Center: The home stadium of the NBA team was renamed!

Orlando, Florida, witnessed a significant rebranding as the Amway Center, a hub for sports and entertainment and home to the NBA's Orlando Magic, was officially renamed the Kia Center as of December 20, 2023. This change follows the partnership with Kia America, introducing various new features including indoor and outdoor Kia signage, electric vehicle charging stations, Kia vehicle showcases, and the Kia Terrace - a special lounge designed for car enthusiasts and fans of sports and music. This renaming reflects a deepening of the relationship between the Orlando Magic and Kia America, with Magic CEO Alex Martins expressing enthusiasm about leveraging the NBA's influence to promote Kia's brand and initiatives. Furthermore, Kia's commitment extends to becoming a 'Champion of the Community' partner, aiming to positively impact the Central Florida area.

This renaming aligns with Kia's broader marketing strategy, which includes the significant renaming of the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in April 2022. This step was part of Kia's Plan S strategy, marking their shift towards sustainable mobility solutions and coinciding with the North American launch of their EV6, an award-winning electric utility vehicle. The expansion of Kia's influence in the U.S. is also evident in its network of dealerships across the Southeast, including Orlando, Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville, with Central Florida emerging as the fastest-growing market. Kia's recognition as one of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies of 2023 and its continuous accolades from J.D. Power affirm its position in the automotive industry, offering a diverse range of vehicles including gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric models.
