Limited to 1,000 Units: Kia EV6 NACTOY Special Edition Shines at Monterey Car Week
In January 2023, the 2023 Kia EV6 was honored with the 2023 North American Utility Vehicle of The Year (NACTOY) award. To celebrate this achievement, Kia America has introduced a special edition EV6 at The Quail event, featuring unique design elements. Limited to just 1,000 units, this special edition showcases a distinctive Deep Forest Green paint. The EV6 will also incorporate blacked-out exterior components, including wheel arches, side skirts, and mirrors – inspired by the EV6 Wind variant, as stated by Kia America.
The vehicle will borrow the 20-inch alloy wheels and sunroof from the EV6 GT-Line model. Inside, the limited-run electric crossover will boast NACTOY medallions and a subtle silhouette of the vehicle next to the gear selector, a detail unveiled during its debut at Monterey Car Week. Under the hood, the limited edition Kia EV6 will be powered by the all-wheel-drive GT-Line’s motors, delivering a combined 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. These motors draw power from the 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery, also used in other E-GMP-based EVs from the Hyundai Motor Group, such as the Ioniq 5 and Genesis GV60.
The pricing details will be disclosed as the vehicle's availability date approaches later in the year. As of August 17, 2023, the entry-level rear-wheel-drive Kia EV6 begins at $42,600 in the United States. The price range extends to $61,600 for the high-performance 576 hp GT variant.
