VinFast Unveils EPA Range Ratings for VF9 Electric SUV
Vietnamese automaker, VinFast, has released the EPA range ratings for its new three-row VF9 electric SUV. The vehicle boasts a range of 330 miles in its Eco trim and 291 miles in the Plus trim, surpassing initial estimates. The seven-passenger, all-electric SUV is priced at $83,000 for the Eco trim and $91,000 for the Plus trim.
VinFast's global CEO, Le Thi Thu Thuy, commented, "The VF9's 330-mile battery range is among the best, underscoring our commitment to producing competitive vehicles." The company aims to export the VF9 to North America this year.
The VF9, larger than the mid-size VF8, is currently available in VinFast's domestic market, with US deliveries expected in the fourth quarter. It is open for global reservations. The VF9 is powered by a dual-motor electric powertrain, delivering 402 horsepower and achieving 0-60 mph in just 6.5 seconds.
Equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), the 2023 Vinfast VF9 offers features like Highway Assist Level 2 driving assistance, Blind Spot Detection, and Smart Parking Assist. The model also provides intelligent utility and entertainment applications that are updated over-the-air.
Designed by Pininfarina, the VF9 has a sleek exterior and a modern interior with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, and vegan leather. In the US, it will come with a 10-year warranty for the vehicle and an unlimited mileage 10-year warranty for the battery. VinFast will also provide mobile repair and rescue services during the warranty period.
