Latest Fisker Software Update: What’s New in Version 1.11?
Fisker Inc., known for its commitment to creating emotionally appealing and sustainable electric vehicles, has recently released its final Fisker Ocean Over-The-Air (OTA) software update of 2023, paving the way for more regular updates in 2024. This OTA update, Version 1.11, started its rollout on December 14, 2023, and is expected to be fully implemented across all customer vehicles by the end of January 2024. This follows the previous major OTA software update, Version 1.10, which was released in November 2023.
Version 1.11 introduces a range of new features and bug fixes, significantly improving the ownership experience for Fisker Ocean owners. These updates can be authorized remotely, eliminating the need for physical service visits. Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO of Fisker, emphasized the importance of OTA software updates in maintaining a competitive edge, stating that these updates allow the company to swiftly introduce new features, address customer feedback, and resolve bugs.
In 2023, Fisker not only released two major OTA updates but also conducted several factory updates before November to ensure that the vehicles were up-to-date with the latest software before their substantial deliveries to customers. The Version 1.11 Fisker software update is available to owners in all Fisker’s US, Canada, and European launch markets.
Looking ahead to 2024, Fisker plans to continue its proactive approach to software updates. The company intends to implement a staged roll-out strategy, benefiting from learnings from previous releases and ensuring thorough testing of the OTA update process. Expected updates in Q1 2024 include enhancements to the SolarSky roof capabilities, torque distribution, a hill-holding function, one-pedal driving, external vehicle sound modifications, improvements in key fob functionality, audio experience upgrades, the introduction of a Pet Mode, and additional ADAS features.
The latest Fisker software update, Version 1.11, includes several notable improvements such as Trips, Screen Cleaning Mode, enhanced vehicle navigation, improved Bluetooth functionality, California Mode updates, OTA update enhancements, ADAS settings improvements, access to an expanded library of languages for EU locales, and other performance enhancements.
