It’s Time To Go Fully Electric: Audi’s Q4 e-tron and Sportback e-tron Launch!

Audi of America has declared the start of sale for their 2023 AUDI Q4 e-tron range, which includes a rear-wheel drive variant called the Q4 40 e-tron. This electric vehicle model has an EPA estimated range of 265 miles, making it easier for customers to switch to a fully electric Audi. This brings Audi's full electric fleet up to five models, making them the automaker with the largest selection of electric vehicles in the United States.

Audi's Q4 e-tron is the brand's most budget-friendly luxury electric vehicle available on the market. It has been designed with the needs of its customer in mind, including comfort, practicality, and cutting-edge technology. Its athletic appearance is highlighted by muscular surfaces and a high seating position which provides the driver with a great view of the surroundings. It offers enough space for five passengers and can tow up to 2,650 pounds in quattro models. Moreover, it features a unique water bottle storage holder and a generous interior storage capacity of 24.8 cubic feet when the rear seatbacks are upright and 53.1 cubic feet when they are lowered. The AUDI Q4 Sportback e-tron has a capacity of 26.1 cubic feet when the back seats are in their upright position, and 54.4 cubic feet when they are laid down. This is similar to the Q5, which is one of the top selling Audis.

For the 2023 Model Year:

  • The S line exterior will be a standard feature on the Q4 50 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron. The Q4 40 e-tron will come with an advanced line exterior as a standard.
  • Matrix-style headlights that have digital daytime running lights come with the option to customize the illumination, along with the capability to create animations for both the headlights and taillights.
  • An 11.6-inch touchscreen display is now standard, offering users an enhanced visual and operational experience that is easier to use.
  • An augmented reality head-up display that is available provides simplified images of the driving instructions from the navigation system, such as the start and end points. These visual cues seem to be around 33 feet in front of the driver, appearing in the real environment, which makes it more convenient to drive on unfamiliar roads.

The Q4 40 e-tron is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor in the rear, providing 201 horsepower. The Q4 50 e-tron and its Sportback counterpart come with an asynchronous motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous motor in the rear, upping the power to 295 horsepower.
