This model, with its raised chassis structure and optional decorative decals, pays homage to the Dakar Rally's iconic RS Q e-tron, providing a distinctive and exhilarating experience for those passionate about electric off-road exploration. Slated for launch in the early months of 2024, the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar is expected to be priced at around $130,000. It is ingeniously crafted based on the Q8 advanced 55 e-tron quattro framework, equipped with a robust 106 kWh battery, enabling it to surge from a standstill to 60 mph in a swift 5.8 seconds. This impressive vehicle offers a substantial driving range of up to 302 miles and its speed peaks at a controlled limit of 124 mph. Presently, the availability of this remarkable vehicle in the United States market remains unconfirmed.
Enhanced for off-road use, the Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar showcases an increased ground clearance and improved handling on diverse terrains such as gravel and snow. The vehicle's air suspension is specially adapted for off-road demands, and it has a wading depth of 11.8 inch. Its design, available in colors like Siam Beige and Mythos Black, integrates a harmonious style from the Singleframe to the Bottom Line, all accented in Mythos Black metallic. The edition Dakar also casts its name in lights on the street when the driver’s door opens and features a unique key cover. A limited run of 99 units features a special decal package inspired by the RS Q e-tron, with each vehicle's serial number elegantly displayed on the D-pillar.
Inside, the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar matches its external ruggedness, equipped with standard Matrix LED headlights and taillights, and sports seats in Dinamica microfiber and artificial leather. The S line interior includes a multifunction sport leather steering wheel and stainless steel pedals. A head-up display projects essential driving information, enhancing the user experience. The vehicle's MMI system offers special background images and ambient lighting to reflect its adventurous spirit. Practical features like a roof rack, a second charging socket, and all-terrain tires cater to various off-road scenarios. Optional features include the ambient light package plus, four-zone automatic air conditioning, and the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with 3D sound, further elevating the luxury off-road experience.
