VinFast x Amazon Collaboration: Alexa Comes to VF 9 EVs!
The global EV manufacturer, VinFast, has unveiled its collaboration with Amazon at the 2022 New York International Auto Show.
The upcoming 2023 VinFast VF 9 will feature seamless integration with Amazon's Alexa, enhancing the driving experience with hands-free access to functions like music, news, navigation, and over 130,000 Alexa skills.
- Alexa Integration: The VF9 will seamlessly incorporate Alexa, providing drivers with automotive-specific features like car control, on-the-go navigation, parking assistance, and more.
- Voice Control for Car Functions: Users can vocally control aspects of the VF9, such as cabin temperature, interior lighting, and seat heaters.
- Over-the-Air Updates: As part of VinFast's commitment to innovation, new features and capabilities will be introduced to vehicles through over-the-air software updates.
Franck Euvrard, Deputy CEO of VinFast, emphasizes the brand's focus on global intelligence and their intention to provide intuitive technology for customers. Likewise, Amazon's Christian Mentz lauds VinFast's ambitious vision in the EV industry.
The VF9 will be showcased at the 2022 NYIAS, where attendees can also engage with its smart features firsthand. Additionally, VinFast has plans to introduce the VF9 to the North American market, with its debut production in a newly established plant in North Carolina. The facility, costing $2 billion for its first phase, will contribute to job creation in the region.
The initial price of the 2023 VinFast VF 9 will be $55,500. The model will be showcased at the 2022 NYIAS, where visitors can experience several key Smart Service features in-person.
Also, VinFast's VF9, with dual electric motors, offers 402hp and 457 lb-ft torque, a 6.5 second 0-60 mph time, and a remarkable 369-mile WLTP-rated range.
