Space-Inspired Hummer EV Omega Paint: GMC’s Latest Breakthrough!
The Hummer EV is a huge and unique vehicle that is easily recognizable due to its size and weight. However, GMC has made the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Omega Edition even more distinctive with its exclusive features and high cost. The Hummer EV is associated with outer space, as it is described as a "moonshot" product by GM. The cabin is filled with space-inspired Easter eggs, such as a topography map of the Sea of Tranquility and a lunar surface display on the Watts To Freedom launch control screen.
GMC has launched a special edition of its 2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup 3X truck and 2023 GMC Hummer EV SUV models that is sure to turn heads. The Neptune Blue Matte paint color and black exterior trim pieces, along with the exclusive 18-inch wheels, give the vehicle a unique look. The special edition also boasts an off-road package that includes underbody skid plates and additional off-road camera views. The MultiPro tailgate with a Kicker audio system, unique interior carpeting, and a transparent roof complete the package. Interestingly, the Hummer EV was inspired by the "endless expanse of space" and is as efficient as a Saturn V rocket. The Miami Grand Prix was the ideal setting for the EV's launch, and invited attendees were treated to 0-60 sprints.
The package only enhances the look of the SUV and pickup, without affecting their power and range. The SUV has a 20-module battery pack that gives 830 horsepower and 298 miles range (with the Extreme Off-Road pack). The pickup has an optional 24-module battery pack, producing 1,000 hp and can travel up to 329 miles on a single charge.
The Hummer EV Omega Edition Pickup is equipped with a 24-module battery and comes with a starting price of $149,995. On the other hand, the SUV version comes with a 20-module battery and a starting price of $139,995. The standard version of the EV is already difficult to obtain, and the Omega Edition is exclusively offered to those who have already placed orders. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will come across the distinctive blue vehicle anytime soon.
In March, GMC received numerous orders; however, they only manufactured 1,000 units. As a result, the wait times escalated rapidly. Although, the production rate almost doubled from February to March, which is a positive sign for those who are eagerly waiting for their orders. Unfortunately, placing an order is not currently an option. If you don't have a reservation yet, it might be worth considering an alternative EV.
