Lucid Air Update: Latest Luxury EV Innovations
The Lucid Motors has unveiled an update for its 2024 Air sedan lineup, aiming to enhance vehicle configuration flexibility and cater to diverse customer preferences. This revamp marks a shift in the company's focus towards enriching the feature set available to consumers. The Air, Lucid's first vehicle, offered various configurations at different price points, but the latest iteration introduces new features and broadens the range of interior and exterior color choices. Notably, the Stealth Appearance package will now be accessible at more affordable prices across all trim levels, which include Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire, each with its unique set of features and customization options.
Lucid Air Pure now offers options for 14-way or 20-way adjustable power front seats with ventilation and massage, complemented by a wider selection of interior themes.
The starting model, Lucid Air Pure, priced at $77,400, will be enhanced with a five-feature Comfort and Convenience Package. Additionally, it will offer options for 14-way or 20-way adjustable power front seats, incorporating both ventilation and massage functionalities for added luxury. A diverse selection of interior color schemes and material themes will also be available, complemented by high-quality natural grain and Nappa full-grain leather, providing a premium feel and bespoke customization for discerning buyers.
Lucid Air Touring strikes an ideal equilibrium of range, speed, and space for both passengers and cargo. As Lucid's most accessible all-wheel-drive vehicle, it surpasses the outgoing all-wheel-drive Air Pure in horsepower and acceleration. Starting at $85,900, the Air Touring is now available for purchase.
The Lucid Air Touring model, priced starting at $85,900, adds new standard equipment including 19-inch Aero Range Wheels, PurLuxe leather-free upholstery, and 12-way power front seats. Additionally, it will offer options such as Fathom Blue exterior paint, shared with the Pure model.
The Lucid Air Grand Touring is set to remain the luxury range leader among U.S. electric vehicles, featuring a lower starting price next year and expanded feature options. It will also include an improved powertrain for enhanced thermal performance and more dynamic driving, inspired by the innovations of the now-discontinued Air Grand Touring Performance.
The Lucid Air Grand Touring model will be equipped with new standard features including a body-colored aluminum roof, PurLuxe leather-free upholstery, and 12-way power front seats. It will also offer additional options like 20-way power front seats, ventilated and massaging front seats, Fathom Blue exterior paint, and extended premium natural grain and Nappa full-grain leather.
