Discover the 2024 Kia EV9: RWD Three-Row Electric Marvel Starting at $54,900!
Kia's latest electric offering, the 2024 KIA EV9, is set to launch in the fourth quarter with a starting price of $54,900. This electric three-row crossover, which we previewed a few weeks back, has five distinct trims: Light, Light Long Range, Wind, Land, and GT-Line.
The base "Light" model, priced as mentioned above, is equipped with a 76.1-kWh battery powering a 215-horsepower rear motor. It offers a decent range of 223 miles and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.7 seconds. Notable features include dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, wireless charging, and Kia's Digital Key access. The vehicle also boasts rapid 800-volt DC fast charging, filling the battery from 10% to 80% in less than 25 minutes.
While Kia remains tight-lipped on pricing for the other trims, the Light Long Range stands out with its 99.8-kWh battery — about a third larger than the Light's. Though it has slightly less power at 201 horsepower, it offers an enhanced range of 300 miles. However, its 0-60 mph time is a tad slower at 8.8 seconds. On the performance end, the GT-Line tops the range with a 379-horsepower motor, achieving 0-60 mph in an impressive 5.0 seconds but has an estimated range of 243 miles.
