2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Price Update and Exciting Details Revealed!
The latest pricing details for the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV have been officially released. When the Equinox EV was first introduced more than a year ago, Chevrolet had initially mentioned a base price of "around $30,000." However, the recently disclosed information reveals that the base price for the 1LT model will be $34,995, inclusive of destination charges.
It's worth noting that Chevrolet had provided some flexibility in their pricing statement by using the term "about," but a $5,000 increase is a substantial change from the initial estimate. The 1LT front-drive model with a base price of $34,995 is expected to become available for sale at some point in the 2024 calendar year, although GM has not specified whether it will be labeled as a 2024 or 2025 model year vehicle. When it becomes available, this 1LT model is projected to offer a 300-mile range, according to GM's estimate.
Regarding other trim options, Chevrolet has disclosed the pricing for the launch version of the Equinox EV, which they had previously described as a 2RS "limited edition" model. The front-drive 2RS will have a starting price of $48,995, while the all-wheel-drive 2RS will begin at $52,395. Pricing information for other trims, such as the 3LT or 2LT models, has not been provided at this time.
In a positive development, Chevrolet has indicated that it exceeded its initial 300-mile range claim and now estimates a maximum range of 319 miles, a figure that has been certified by the EPA. It's important to note, however, that this 319-mile range is specific to the 2RS FWD launch trim. Details about the final range figures for other versions are yet to be confirmed.
For those interested in placing an order for an Equinox EV, Chevrolet has announced that it will open its order bank in the first week of November. A specific date for the opening of orders has not been specified, so prospective buyers should stay tuned for updates. It's worth mentioning that Chevrolet has reported that around 200,000 individuals have expressed interest in the Equinox EV through its reservation portal, so potential buyers can expect competition when placing their orders.
