What Makes the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron Update Stand Out
The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron is set to receive significant updates, including an enhancement in range, power, and driving dynamics. With the introduction of the updated Q4 55 e-tron model, Audi is replacing the current Q4 50 e-tron variant. This new version is distinguished by a 40 horsepower increase, courtesy of a revised electric motor, resulting in a total output of 335 horsepower. The motor's advancements also contribute to a more efficient utilization of the 77.0-kWh battery, extending the vehicle's range by an additional 22 miles, for a total of 258 miles on a single charge.
The update to the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron, applicable to both the SUV and Sportback models, encompasses powertrain improvements and adjustments to the vehicle's suspension and steering systems for refined handling. Furthermore, enhancements to the electric motor's efficiency are achieved through improved thermal management and transmission adjustments, contributing to the vehicle's extended range.
Audi has also made advances in the battery technology of the 2024 Q4 e-tron, increasing the maximum DC fast-charging capacity from 150 kW to 175 kW, which reduces the charging time significantly. Additional features aimed at optimizing charging efficiency and battery condition are included, such as pre-conditioning for fast-charging and post-conditioning to manage temperature levels.
Despite the comprehensive updates, the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron price maintains for both the standard SUV and Sportback versions, positioning the Q4 55 e-tron at a competitive price point. These enhancements are part of Audi's ongoing commitment to improving the performance and efficiency of its electric vehicle lineup, with the updated Q4 e-tron scheduled to arrive in U.S. dealerships by April.
