2023 KIA EV6 Earns 2022 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award!
The 2022 Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating has been granted to the 2023 KIA EV6.
In all of the 2022 IIHS crashworthiness tests, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, the EV6 received a rating of "good". Additionally, the KIA received a "superior" rating for its front crash prevention system (both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations during the daytime), and a "good" rating for its standard headlights.
Kia's 'Plan S' strategy, which aims to introduce 14 new electric models worldwide by 2027, was launched in the United States with the arrival of the EV6 in 2022. The EV6, Kia's first dedicated battery electric vehicle, has a range of 310 miles on a single charge and features a flat-floor cabin made of innovative materials. It also comes equipped with advanced driver assistance systems and connectivity options. Notably, the 2023 KIA EV6 has an Onboard Power Generator and is available in Wind and GT-Line RWD trims.
According to Steven Center, who is the COO and EVP of Kia America, the EV6 has been a highly anticipated and successful addition to their lineup. The 2023 model has recently been awarded the 2022 TOP SAFETY PICK+, which is a testament to Kia's dedication to creating innovative and safe products that deliver high performance.
