Unveiling the Volkswagen ID.7 GTX: Enhanced Power and All-Wheel Drive
Recently, a set of three photos has been released by Volkswagen, showcasing the design features of their soon-to-be-released VW ID.7 GTX electric sedan.. This performance-focused variant is slated to hit the US market in the coming year.
The official press release for the upcoming sporty version of Volkswagen ID.7 GTX has revealed that it will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup, more power, and will be suitable for long-distance travel. The sporty version will be unveiled at the IAA Mobility event in Munich, Germany in September.

The vehicle will have red and black elements in the interior such as contrast stitching on the seats, dash panel, and door cards. The exterior of the car will have black gloss elements that will complement the standard black roof paint and tinted windows.
The Volkswagen ID.7 GTX boasts an intelligent dual-motor all-wheel drive system that is managed by the vehicle dynamics manager, just like its predecessors, the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 GTX. This software, which was developed in-house by Volkswagen, is designed to ensure the optimal balance between efficiency, dynamics, and driving stability. The vehicle dynamics manager has complete control over the powertrain, as well as the braking, steering, and chassis control systems, all of which are adjusted according to the selected driving profile. The running gear and steering of the ID.7 GTX have been significantly improved thanks to the modular electric drive (MEB) platform, providing a wide range of options for comfort and sportiness depending on the driving profile. This reinforces the VW ID.7 GTX's position as the flagship model in the ID. family.
Volkswagen has added the sporty GTX brand to its portfolio two years ago, which comprises all-electric performance models. These dynamic vehicles offer a blend of electric mobility, sustainability and intelligent sportiness. Additionally, their sporty design highlights the distinctiveness and recognition value of the high-end GTX models.
The price of the VW ID.7 GTX hasn't been announced yet, which leaves us uncertain about its position among electric sedans. Additionally, there is no information about its specifications such as power, acceleration, or range. However, we can expect to receive more details in September when the whole sedan is revealed.
