Tesla Cybertruck Sales: March 2024 Performance Analysis
Tesla's Cybertruck was the second-best-selling electric pickup truck in March. The Cybertruck came in second to Ford's F-150 Lightning in new vehicle registrations. In March, Tesla Cybertruck sales reached 1,158 new registrations, while the Ford F-150 Lightning had 2,893. Rivian's R1T had 548 new registrations.
Representatives from Tesla, Ford, and Rivian did not provide comments on the data. Tesla Cybertruck sales began with the first deliveries to customers on November 30. Ford introduced its electric pickup in 2022, and Rivian's model entered the market in 2021.
Tesla has not disclosed the total number of Cybertrucks delivered to date. However, a recall earlier this year affected approximately 3,878 cars produced between November 13 and April 4, indicating the production volume for that period.
Prior to its delivery event, the Cybertruck had garnered up to 2 million reservations, according to an online tally. It quickly became a popular status symbol among celebrities. For more details on the Tesla Cybertruck price and specifications.
