The Taycan Just Got Better! More Range, Connectivity, and Colors!
Electric sports cars will have improved day-to-day range with technological developments. Porsche Communication Management system will have deep integration of Android Auto. Remote Park Assist for Porsche Taycan 2023 is now available, allowing parking control via smartphone. Personal color choices can be realized with Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus options. Taycan can be painted in Rubystar or Acidgreen.
According to Kevin Giek, who has been the Vice President Model Line Taycan since April, the new Taycan model has impressive smartphone connectivity features, including support for Android Auto. The Taycan range of electric vehicles is expanding and doing well, with the recent addition of the Cross Turismo model in the spring proving to be popular among customers, as evidenced by the high number of orders received.
The new Taycan model year won't have separate homologation, so there won't be any new WLTP range values. However, the latest versions will have a greater real-world range due to extensive technological developments. The front electric motor is almost completely decoupled in Normal and Range modes, which reduces drag losses. The motors are switched on again when the driver requests more power or changes the driving mode.
Thermal management and charging functions are improved. Turbo Charging Planner preheats the high-voltage battery to allow faster charging. Heat from electrical components is utilized to regulate battery temperature effectively.
The Remote Park Assist option allows drivers to remotely control parking maneuvers using a smartphone. Both parallel and perpendicular parking spaces and garages can be automatically controlled. Ultrasonic sensors and camera systems measure parking spaces, and the driver can start the process via the Porsche Connect app and monitor it by holding a button on the app. The Remote Park Assist takes over steering and control of the vehicle's movements, and stops when the button is released.
The Taycan by Porsche has the sixth generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) which integrates Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Android Auto. It also supports Apple CarPlay for iPhones and some functions and apps of Android phones can be operated via PCM 6.0 or Google Assistant voice commands.
Porsche's iconic paint finishes from the '90s are back as part of their personalization strategy for the Taycan. Customers can choose from 65 additional colors with Paint to Sample or have complete freedom in choosing their preferred color with Paint to Sample Plus.
