Lexus has unveiled a limited edition of Lexus RZ450e F SPORT Performance model of its battery electric vehicle (BEV), the RZ450e, as part of the BEYOND ZERO initiative aimed at promoting technology and carbon neutrality. This exclusive model, limited to 100 units, showcases the potential of the RZ450e through enhanced aerodynamics and driving performance. Developed in collaboration with air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, it made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 and is set for release in late March. The design and functionality of the Lexus RZ450e F SPORT Performance embody the pursuit of driving pleasure, characteristic of Lexus' approach to electric vehicles.
Lexus recently unveiled its highly-anticipated Lexus RZ450e F SPORT Performance, a groundbreaking addition to the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) landscape that seamlessly melds timeless design aesthetics with state-of-the-art electrification technology. Taking inspiration from the electrifying "RZ SPORT CONCEPT" showcased at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon, this model is a pivotal member of Lexus' expanding electric vehicle lineup, which saw its commencement with the all-wheel-drive RZ450e in March 2023, followed by the introduction of the front-wheel-drive RZ300e in November of the same year. Collaboratively developed with industry experts Yoshihide Muroya and Masahiro Sasaki, the RZ450e F SPORT Performance boasts 17 unique aerodynamic components meticulously engineered to enhance both aerodynamic efficiency and overall performance, setting a new benchmark in the luxury BEV market. It embodies Lexus' unwavering commitment to ecological responsibility while ensuring an electrifying and immersive driving experience.
The exterior of Lexus RZ450e F SPORT Performance is notable for its "HAKUGIN" matte white color, inspired by a world of light and shadow, combined with striking black and blue accents, emphasizing its sporty aesthetic. The interior complements this theme with a bespoke black and blue color scheme and blue-stitched Ultrasuede seats. Owners also benefit from exclusive perks like invitations to the "LEXUS ELECTRIFIED JOURNEY" travel program and free charging at Lexus dealers. The profiles of Yoshihide Muroya and Masahiro Sasaki, integral to the vehicle's development, highlight the collaboration between automotive and aviation expertise. The vehicle's main specifications, including its dimensions, power, and unique features like 21-inch ENKEI aluminum wheels and carbon elements, underline its performance focus.
