GENESIS UNVEILS NEOLUN AND GV60 MAGMA CONCEPT

Genesis introduced the Neolun and GV60 Magma concepts at Genesis House New York, indicating a strategic expansion of its product lineup into electric and high-performance categories.

The Neolun concept, a full-size electric SUV, is distinguished by its innovative B-pillarless coach doors, enhancing the vehicle's accessibility and aesthetic appeal. This design choice facilitates a more open interior environment, improving passenger access. The vehicle also features electric side steps that deploy automatically for easier ingress and egress, integrating into the vehicle's body when not in use to maintain a sleek exterior profile. The Neolun's design philosophy, focusing on reductive aesthetics, is evident in its seamless body lines and integrated lighting elements, which include body-integrated lamps and a center high-mounted stop lamp hidden within a perforated pattern. The roof incorporates a pop-up type rack, aligning with the SUV's identity while maintaining a streamlined appearance. The exterior color scheme, inspired by Korea's night sky, combines Midnight Black and Majestic Blue, adding to the vehicle's elegance.

Inside, the Neolun concept integrates a radiant heating system inspired by the Korean ondol, providing efficient and uniform warmth. The cabin's design prioritizes space and comfort, with features such as swiveling front-row seats and large, adjustable display screens enhancing the passenger experience. Materials used in the interior, including cashmere and naturally dyed leather, are chosen for their luxurious feel and sustainability, complemented by real wood flooring. The sound system employs an advanced architecture for immersive audio, with a crystal sphere that rotates into a tweeter as part of the vehicle's interactive features.

The GV60 Magma concept, meanwhile, emphasizes performance within the Genesis Magma program. It builds on the GV60's electric foundation with improvements to battery and motor technology for enhanced driving dynamics. The vehicle's design has been optimized for performance, featuring a widened and lowered body for better stability and a dynamic appearance. Cooling and aerodynamics are key focuses, with a redesigned front intake, air curtains, and additional cooling holes inspired by other models in the Genesis lineup. The exterior also features enlarged fenders and integrated wheelhouse outlets for improved brake cooling, with titanium-colored 21-inch wheels equipped with aero discs. Aerodynamic fins and a rear wing contribute to stability at high speeds.

The interior of the Genesis GV60 Magma is both luxurious and sporty, with bucket seats featuring body-colored backs and upholstery in a mix of nappa and suede leather, accented with the program's signature orange and titanium grey. The design aims to provide an engaging and comfortable driving experience, reflective of the vehicle's performance orientation.
