The MINI family has launched its newest addition, the 2024 MINI Cooper SE Electric. This latest version of the iconic MINI 3-door is designed for electric driving fun and is available in two power levels. With its agile drive, the MINI Cooper Electric offers locally emission-free premium mobility for the future.
The all-electric MINI Cooper SE had a 25.5% increase in sales in 2022 and became the most popular MINI model, with over 43,000 units sold worldwide last year. One out of five MINI on the road is now electrically powered. Recently, the one millionth MINI 3-door of the current generation was produced, and it was also fully electric and delivered to Canada.
The new MINI line-up boasts full torque right from the start, whether you opt for the 181 hp MINI Cooper E or the 214 hp MINI Cooper SE. You won't experience any delays or interruptions during acceleration, thanks to the seamless power delivery. The lithium-ion high-voltage battery is positioned in the floor of the MINI Cooper Electric, providing optimal weight distribution and road grip, which in turn enhances stability and agility. By doing so, MINI continues to redefine its signature go-kart feel, offering the same urban driving fun that has made the brand a success for over six decades.
The MINI Cooper E has a battery capacity of 40.7 kWh, while the MINI Cooper SE boasts a capacity of 54.2 kWh. The estimated distance covered by this is between 186 to 248 miles, which expands the travel possibilities both within and outside the city.
The MINI Cooper Electric boasts the hallmark MINI space concept, allowing for maximum flexibility in a purpose-built vehicle. The interior design features four seats and a luggage compartment that can be expanded to increase volume. With the MINI Countryman, which will be manufactured at the BMW Group Plant Leipzig starting in November 2023, the new 2024 MINI Cooper Electric is ready for the all-electric future of MINI. The MINI Aceman will join the new model family in 2024.
