Tesla Cybertruck Countdown: Official Deliveries to Begin in November 2023!
The anticipation around the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck has reached fever pitch as Tesla announces that the customer deliveries for its electric pickup truck will begin on November 30, 2023. This update comes as fans have eagerly awaited the truck's official launch, set to take place in just six weeks.
Pilot production of the Cybertruck has already kicked off at the Gigafactory Texas, and the word "initial" hints at a limited release, suggesting a small-scale launch. However, the excitement surrounding the vehicle hints at the significant impact its release might have on the electric vehicle market.
Tesla's Q3 2023 financial report showcased an intriguing image of a white Tesla Semi loaded with three Tesla Cybertrucks parked in front of a Tesla facility. Speculations are rife on whether this might be a unique marketing strategy, with the pickups being delivered to customers via the Tesla Semi.
The Tesla Semi's role in the Tesla Cybertruck delivery highlights the company's vertical integration, demonstrating Tesla's ability to produce key components and deploy its own vehicles for delivery. In the past, Tesla has utilized its Semis for transporting vehicles and Superchargers
Tesla's report also divulged an essential piece of data: the current annual vehicle production capacity for the Cybertruck is estimated to exceed 125,000 units. Although the model is still in "Pilot production", high volumes are anticipated this year. By 2024, Tesla is poised to tap into a significant chunk of the installed capacity.
As for the Cybertruck's specs, it boasts impressive towing capabilities surpassing 14,000 pounds, notably more than competitors like the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T. Payload capacity is pegged at 3,500 pounds, and the vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, depending on the model. Moreover, Tesla has confirmed an 800-volt powertrain/battery architecture for the Cybertruck, incorporating the 4680-type cylindrical battery cells.
With the vehicle's pricing and specs yet to be unveiled, Tesla enthusiasts are on the edge of their seats. Furthermore, whispers about a potential Performance version, already previewed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, keep the buzz alive.
Regarding the possible colors, in the spring of 2023 Elon Musk had suggested that the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck might come in Matte Black.
Meanwhile, 2023 Tesla Model S got itself a spot in the top premium all-electric sedans list.
