Polestar has recently shared the pricing and availability details of the 2024 Polestar 2 for the US market. This version of the car has undergone multiple updates that include minor changes to its design, improved range, new motors, better performance, and additional standard features.
The upcoming Polestar 2 will feature a switch from front-wheel-drive to rear-wheel-drive, which is expected to bring a significant improvement in the overall driving experience. The new model is more powerful and provides a longer driving range than the previous one, but the increase in price is not as significant as one might expect.

One thing to consider is that the all-wheel-drive 2 comes with the Pilot Pack as standard, which costs $3,400 in 2023. This pack includes helpful features like Pilot Assist technology and a 360-degree camera.
The 2024 Polestar 2 has undergone some subtle design changes, but the real upgrades are hidden beneath the surface. The new base model boasts a more powerful motor with 299 horsepower and 361 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to reach 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds, a full second faster than its predecessor. Additionally, the estimated driving range has increased from 270 to 320 miles, and it can be charged quickly with 205-kilowatt fast charging.

The all-wheel-drive 2 has been updated and now has a dual-motor drivetrain with a rating of 421 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque, which is higher compared to the previous figures of 408 and 487. This upgrade comes at no extra cost. The optional Performance Pack offers Brembo brakes, package-specific forged alloy wheels, Öhlins adjustable dampers, and Swedish Gold accents on the seatbelts, along with a horsepower boost up to 455. The car has a 0-60mph time of 4.3 seconds. Polestar has estimated that it can drive up to 276 miles but the EPA has not yet tested the new model.
There is currently no information available regarding the pricing of the Performance Pack. However, Polestar has reduced the cost of the Plus Pack from $2,400 to $2,200. This pack includes additional features such as a heat pump that enhances the car's range, a Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic moonroof, and heated rear seats.
The 2024 Polestar 2 is currently available for purchase, and it will soon enter production. Deliveries are set to begin in August 2023.
